Listing on Chairish is free. Chairish takes a commission on the item's sale price, and the rate depends on your seller plan: 40% (Consignor), 30% (Professional), 25% or 22% on vintage with Premium or Plus, and a 20% / 12% / 3% tiered scale with Elite or Platinum. New and made-to-order items are 30% on every plan except Consignor (40%).
The buyer pays shipping. With Chairish-managed shipping, Chairish pays the shipper. With seller-managed shipping, you pay your own carrier, so your shipping charge has to cover the cost. Offers and trade discounts lower the sale price, and commission is worked out on that lower price. Paid plans only pay off at volume, so this calculator spreads the fee across your monthly sales.
This calculator does not model Chairish Auctions commissions (20%, or 0% on Platinum), Wholesale terms, Promoted Listings spend or the $30 credit, or sales tax. Chairish collects and remits sales tax, so it is not seller income. Buyer-paid Chairish-managed shipping passes straight to the shipper. Chairish publishes no minimum commission or seller-side processing fee. Chairish's help article shows a different split for sales above $25,000; check your You Earn figure.
It depends on your seller plan: 40% on the Consignor plan (1–9 listings), 30% on Professional (10+ listings, free), 25% (Premium) or 22% (Plus) on vintage and used items, and a tiered 20%/12%/3% rate on Elite and Platinum. New and made-to-order items are 30% on every paid plan.
It is cumulative per item: 20% on the first $2,500, 12% on the amount from $2,500 to $25,000, and 3% above $25,000. Chairish's own example is a $15,000 sale: $500 + $1,500 = $2,000 commission, so you earn $13,000 (87%).
No. Chairish says it does "not take any commission on shipping/packing costs". With Chairish-managed shipping the buyer's shipping charge pays the shipper. With seller-managed shipping you pay your own carrier and insurance, and Chairish will not reimburse it.
Yes. Commission is a percentage of the Sale Amount, the price the item actually sold for. An accepted offer (offers must be at least 50% of list) or a trade discount lowers that amount. A $1,000 Premium vintage item sold with a 12% trade discount pays $880 − 25% = $660.
After the 48-hour return window closes (or local pickup or delivery is completed). Payment typically appears about 6 days after the sale closes, plus 3–5 days at your bank. Elite members can get 50% of proceeds 72 hours after the sale.
